Hi, I'm An(ne)ke
I’m the founder and owner of AvH Graphics, a graphic design and marketing business I started in 2009 with a simple goal: to turn ideas into something you can see, share, and be proud of.
Originally from the Netherlands, I moved to the United States with my husband in 2006 and have been building my creative life here ever since. My background in Desktop Publishing (DTP) and Multimedia Design (MMD) gave me the technical foundation, but my love for creativity, design, photography, color, typography, and visual storytelling is what continues to inspire me every day.
What I enjoy most is working with people and getting to know the story behind their business, organization, or idea. Whether it’s a logo, business card, brochure, sign, promotional product, social media graphic, or a complete collection of marketing materials, I love taking an idea that starts as a thought, a sketch, or even just a conversation—and turning it into something tangible.
I’m a very hands-on designer. I enjoy being involved in the entire creative process, from brainstorming and developing the initial concept to choosing the right colors, fonts, imagery, materials, and finishing touches. And because I also work with printing and promotional products, I can help make sure a design doesn’t just look great on screen—it works beautifully in the real world, too.
For me, good design is about more than making something look pretty. It should feel like you. It should represent your personality, your business, and what you want people to remember about you.
Outside of AvH Graphics, I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by nature. I love hiking, photography, exploring the outdoors, music, art, and finding inspiration in the little details around me. I think that curiosity and appreciation for the world around me naturally find their way into my creative work.
I truly enjoy the relationships I’ve built with my clients over the years, and I’m grateful every time someone trusts me with their ideas.
So, have an idea? Let’s make it a reality!
